Finished Cedar deck with stairs and railing detached to a house, with a covered pergola or shade structure built over part of the deck.

These homeowners needed to replace their deck. They wanted a larger pergola with a few panels allowing the sunshine in while remaining cool in the afternoon summer and dry while watching the rain.

These homeowners had plenty of experience remodeling homes: however they became a bit stuck when it came to building this AUD (auxiliary dwelling unit.) When we arrived, there was one wall framed and standing. We took some time to review the plans, double check the layout, and then got to work framing.

The homeowners acted as the general contractors bringing in the concrete, HVC, electrician, roofer and plumbers. They wanted us to help get them to a position that they are familiar with and they would take it from there. We helped to get them dried in and they finished this 900sq ft home with garage and garage store for their mother.

We love our dogs and so do our clients. We updated this dog run to add stability and escape proof for the “master of the house.”

The dishwasher leaked so we had to pull the flooring and replace part of the subfloor and dry the floor out. We leveled out the transition from an old repair gone bad.

We love dishwashers until something goes wrong. Unfortunately, these customers had a slow leak causing the flooring and subfloor to need repair. We replaced a portion of the subfloor after drying everything out and then put the kitchen back together.

installed the flooring. Surrounding cabinets and appliances are visible, including a stainless steel refrigerator on the left, a stove on the right, and a white shelving unit with various items on the far left.

After twenty five years, it was time to replace this back deck and these side stairs. We added a small, white railing to aid these homeowners with getting up and down the stairs. The deck took a bit a time with the planning department because the existing deck was built over the property line. We were able to figure out a new smaller yet useful deck that met the Planning Departments requirements and fulfilled the clients’ needs.

It was time to replace these stairs as they were rotted and the railings were wobbly. New stairs, new railing, and new hand rail.

Sometimes we are asked to finish a project a homeowner starts. Here, the homeowners started to replace their railing on this deck but health issues prevented them from completing the job. We followed their design and were able to finish the railing and create a safe deck. They will finish the staining and painting when the weather and body permits.

These homeowners decided to remove their hot tub and add some exterior stairs. We were able to create this cute Western Red Cedar mini deck and stairs.

There was an old worn patio when we arrived. Our client decided to go with Western Red Cedar. We were able to get the blocks in before some heavy rain. Then we were able to build the deck before some snowfall. The homeowner wasn’t sure if she wanted to have the deck sealed or let the cedar weather to gray.

This large front deck had some issues so the homeowner decided to keep a similar layout but replace with Western Red Cedar. Now they can grill on the front deck or out on the back deck.

These customers reached out to us because they didn’t like the open displays. They asked us to make doors for the different spaces. We made seven doors in total. After we installed the cabinet doors, we took them off so the homeowner could finish with the primer and paint.

The homeowners were referred to us by the original builder to repair some dry rot that occurred. Ever hear the phrase “ take out bad wood and put in good wood”? That is what we did here.

Bathroom with exposed toilet drain, missing toilet, with blue painter's tape on walls and floor, and a small sink on the left side.

Yikes, plumbing issues. The homeowner found out after about a year after moving in that this AUD’s toilet was not connected. We worked in conjunction with the plumber to repair this bathroom. We pulled up the existing flooring and cutout the bad portion of the subfloor and drywall. They/we could not source flooring to match so the client choose a bamboo floor. We replaced the baseboard and door trim, and matched the wall texture. The homeowners will prime and paint the bathroom to help save on expenses.

One of our first clients called us back to help give the master bedroom a face lift. The homeowner pulled the baseboards and carpet out to get the area prepped for us and help save on expenses. We came in to lay down the floor and replace the newly painted (thanks to the homeowner) baseboards. Surprise, there is a crawlspace hatch in the closet. We had to start in the hallway (replacing a few worn planks) and work into the bedroom with the first course so we could figure out the layout for the closet. Our customer is ecstatic with the results and so are we.

We got a call because part of these homeowners trim had fallen off. We did a walk around the house to all the areas that needed to be addressed. Yup, you know it, then we cut out the bad wood until we found good wood.
